from 4 November 2023 to 21 April 2024 | Varese
From 4 November 2023 until 21 April 2024 it will be possible to visit the exhibition 'Geometrie - Design - Ambienti' at the Fondazione Marcello Morandini, Via Francesco del Cairo, 41 in Varese.
The interest shown by the public in recent months and the educational workshops organised ad hoc on the works on display prompted the decision to extend the exhibition, envisaging an enrichment of the offer for visitors.
"Geometries - Design - Environments" is a major exhibition project consisting of three different exhibitions by three masters of Italian art: Marcello Morandini, A.G. Fronzoni and Gianni Colombo.
In the room dedicated to A. G. Fronzoni about 20 posters are exhibited, plus a series of documents, photos, archive and editorial materials selected by Lars Müller, graphic designer and founder of the well-known Swiss publishing house Lars Müller Publishers.
The exhibition continues with Marcello Morandini's exhibition curated by the artist, which presents the Opera Omnia: a historical series of works, projects, drawings, sculptures, photos and texts measuring 21×21 cm that form a linear path of images and forms 35 metres long.
In addition, 14 posters of Marcello Morandini's historical exhibitions will be on display and exceptionally can be purchased. These are rare pieces, specially selected from the historical archive, an extraordinary opportunity for collectors and lovers of concrete art.
The third presence is the homage to Gianni Colombo on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his death. The room dedicated to him will be completely renovated compared to the exhibition that was hosted until October 2023 with new works of art that will guide viewers on a timeless journey through creativity and innovation.
In parallel, the Marcello Morandini Foundation will offer an exclusive programme of conferences, meetings, activities. Unique occasions for enthusiasts and the curious, with experts explaining and deepening the founding themes of concrete art, exploring its connections with geometry, design and the environment.
Optional reservation. For groups of more than 10 people, reservation recommended.
