May 21, 2023 to October 22, 2023 | Varese
Until October 22, 2023, it is possible to visit the exhibition "Geometries - Design - Environments" at the Marcello Morandini Foundation, Via Francesco del Cairo, 41 in Varese.
"Geometries - Design - Environments," is a major exhibition project consisting of three different exhibitions by as many masters of Italian art: Marcello Morandini, A.G. Fronzoni and Gianni Colombo.
In the room dedicated to A. G. Fronzoni about 20 posters are on display, plus a series of documents, photos, archival and editorial materials selected by Lars Müller, graphic designer and founder of the well-known Swiss publishing house Lars Müller Publishers.
The path continues with Marcello Morandini's exhibition curated by the artist, which presents Opera Omnia: a historical series consisting of works, projects, drawings, sculptures, photos and texts measuring 21×21 cm that form a linear path of images and forms 35 meters long.
Third presence is a tribute to Gianni Colombo on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his death. On display in the room are three works that act on the physical and sensory perception of the viewer, from whom the artist demands active participation with his works and environments. The environmental work Light/Shadow X, whose play of light and shadow engages the visitor, and two examples from the Spazio elastico surface series from the 1970s.
