From Saturday, March 18 to Monday, March 20, the celebration of St. Joseph in Varese returns, organized by the St. Joseph Celebration Committee together with Parish of San Vittore. The event includes a full program of events, listed below.
Throughout the weekend
At St. Joseph's Square, there will be several stalls with typical food and craft products, along with the food stand offering the traditional St. Joseph's tortelli.
Saturday, March 18
The day will begin at 7:15 a.m. with Eucharistic adoration. From 9:30 a.m. onward, it will also be possible to deliver poems dedicated to fathers at the "Banco dei Poeti". At 10:00 a.m., the "St. Joseph's Charity Tortellata" stall will open, closing at 6:30 p.m. Not to be missed is the 4 p.m. appointment with "St. Joseph in Music".
Sunday, March 19
All events will be accompanied by classical music performed by students Aurora Zanotto-guitar and Gabriel Gasparini-violin from Alpha Musica school in Castronno. The festival will begin at 10 a.m. with the opening of the "St. Joseph's Charity Tortellata" stall, which will remain open until 6:30 p.m. Shortly after, the stall "Una Poesia per il Papà" will also open and Ninì Della Misericordia, Marina Mazzoli and Giuseppe Caffarelli will read the poems received (a moment that will be repeated in the afternoon at 5:00 pm). At 11:30 a.m. there will be an illustration of St. Joseph's Church by Elena Ermoli. The afternoon will continue with the costume parade, by the Theatre Group of Via Frasconi, which will start from San Vittore Square and go all the way to San Giuseppe Square. A moment of reflection on the figure of St. Joseph is scheduled at 4 p.m., accompanied by music.
Monday, March 20
Day dedicated to the liturgical feast of St. Joseph. Holy Masses are scheduled to be held at the Parish of San Vittore.
