A cultural and artistic project dedicated to historical, modern and contemporary photography, with an interdisciplinary approach featuring important authors in confrontation with emerging photographers, both Italian and from different countries around the world.
From Saturday 16th March to Thursday 25th April, don't miss the European Photography Festival, now in its 11th edition with a programme enriched by conferences, screenings, book presentations, workshops and specific initiatives, with the aim of delving into the evolution of the photographic and visual language.
The initiative is enhanced by the participation of private spaces and subjects, galleries and bookshops that propose exhibitions and projects. A sort of cultural workshop, which opens up to Europe, which dialogues with people through the art of looking and focuses on the aspirations, languages and inventiveness of artists with different stylistic peculiarities.
The artistic curator of this festival is Claudio Argentiero, organized under the patronage of the European Commission of the Province of Varese and the municipal administrations of Legnano, Busto Arsizio, Castellanza and Cairate.

FRANCO PONTIGGIA MEMORIAL AWARD
The photo contest on the theme of family portraits (in the studio, on the street, in the world) provides for free participation by sending images by Sunday 3rd March 2024. The winners' announcement and the award ceremony will be on Sunday 17th March at 6:30 p.m. in Busto Arsizio, the selected images will be screened.

PORTFOLIO PRIZE - YOUNG AUTHORS (UNDER 35)
Registration is compulsory by Saturday 9th March 2024, places are limited. On Sunday 17th March from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. there will be a portfolio reading at the Boragno Gallery in Busto Arsizio. At 6:30 p.m. there will be an award ceremony at the opening of the European Photography Festival 2024. Among the experts present are: Giada Storelli (journalist), Marco Garofalo (reporter and videomaker), Leonello Bertolucci (deals with photographic reportage) and Claudio Argentiero.
