A week full of cultural, artistic and entertainment events awaits residents and visitors in Sesto Calende.
The programme begins on Thursday, July 9, with the third event of "Libri in Sesto". At 6:00 p.m. in Piazza De Cristoforis, author Simone Tempia will present his novel Gran Galà con delitto.
On Saturday, July 11, the town comes alive with the White Night (Notte Bianca), featuring live music, entertainment and performances in squares throughout the town centre. On the same day, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., the riverside promenade will host "Arts and Creativity", a handicrafts market showcasing local artisans.
On Sunday, July 12, the historic centre will become an open-air gallery with "Open-Air Art", a group exhibition open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. In the afternoon, visitors can also explore the Archaeological Museum, open from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m..
Also running until July 12 is the art exhibition by Vanessa Trinca Tornidor at the Pro Sesto Calende Gallery (opening hours are available on the event poster).
Finally, from July 12 to 17, the "Risonanze sul Ticino" music festival begins with the first of five concerts performed by students of the local music school. The opening concert will take place on Sunday, July 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the Centro Studi dell'Acqua Hall.
