From 21 September to 8 December 2021 | Villa Panza, Varese
From Tuesday 21st September to Wednesday 8 December 2021, Villa Panza hosts the exhibition "Progetto Genesi. Arte e Diritti Umani" an artistic-cultural initiative dedicated to the theme of rights.
Progetto Genesi takes FAI into a new field, but perfectly in line with the spirit of its cultural and educational mission. This exhibition, in fact, offers the FAI the opportunity to bring the social function of art, and culture in general, to the attention of its public, as a powerful tool, capable of speaking to everyone and affecting society, to transform it, to improve it, to favor its progress. Project Genesis therefore offers the FAI the opportunity to emphasize in the story of these places, in its assets, the relevance and universality of the social message that they preserve and express.
The works of the artists in the Genesi collection denounce unacceptable violations and arouse reflections that refer to the greatest problems of humanity and existential, personal and collective issues. The same themes, albeit in a less explicit form, also emerge from the history of the places where this exhibition will stop, demonstrating that cultural heritage must be protected not only for its historical and artistic value, but also because it testifies and promotes fundamental values. for the civilization of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
The exhibition, curated by Ilaria Bernardi, is organized in collaboration with the Fondo Ambiente Italiano and enjoys the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the Italian National Commission for Unesco, Rai Per il Sociale and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan.
The path studied for Villa Panza, where the entire corpus of works that make up the Genesi Collection is present, develops in the Stables, and according to thematic areas in fact the exhibition is composed of six main thematic sections, through which the works express a message related to the defense of human rights.
Every Sunday from 10.30 am to 12.00 am there will be guided tours and free participatory workshops of four different types soffered by the Genesis Association for all or specific types of public such as teens and families.
