From Monday 17th April to Sunday 1st October 2023 | Angera
The Ala Scaligera of the Rocca di Angera opens its spaces to host from Monday 17th April to Sunday 1st October the contemporary art exhibition "Oltre il buio", curated by Alberto Salvadori, in collaboration with Galleria Franco Noero.
The exhibition stages the succession and renewal inherent in the land where the Rocca Borromea is located, thanks to the works of 15 artists represented by Galleria Franco Noero: Lothar Baumgarten, Pablo Bronstein, Jason Dodge, Sam Falls, Lara Favaretto, Piero Gilardi, Henrik Håkansson, Mark Handforth, Jim Lambie, Jac Leirner, Robert Mapplethorpe, Mike Nelson, Henrik Olesen, Simon Starling and Francesco Vezzoli.
Central is the extraordinary becoming of man's perception, who through light discovered the need to see something that was not only the natural visible, but rather the visible of our unconscious, of our inscrutable and unavoidable part at the same time.
The spaces of Angera today re-propose to us this extraordinary becoming that has favoured a form of coexistence between man and nature, between man and art.
Every day from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (the museum's closing times may vary during certain periods, for up-to-date information please consult the relevant organisation's website)
Admission to the Rocca di Angera also includes the exhibition.
