S. Antonio Abate is the patron of la Motta, a small district of Varese: every year the city celebrates S. Antonio with a bonfire and a traditional feast.

Programme: 

Thursday, January 16: food stands with local and seasonal food in the area of Piazza della Motta. Bonfire starting at 9 pm. 

Friday, January 17: Holy Mass at 11 am, Church of Sant'Antonio alla Motta. After the Mass, traditional blessing of the animals and baloons' launch.
