In April and May 2024, some interesting events will take place in the town of Angera. Here is the programme to get to know the local heritage better.

Thursday 25 April

The 79th Anniversary of the Liberation will be celebrated in cooperation with the Institutions, Associations and students of the Secondary School.

The programme includes a meeting at 9.45 a.m. in the "Piazza Parrocchiale", followed by a Holy Mass and a procession to the War Memorial in Piazza della Vittoria.

At 11:15 a.m., there will be a continuation of the activities at the Council Chamber, where, after the authorities' greeting, students from Angera's 'L. Einaudi' Secondary School will give a speech.

The ANPI Section of Angera will be present. The event will be accompanied by the Corpo Musicale Angerese Santa Cecilia.

Thursday 25 April from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Creative Handcrafts Market will be held, an event organised by Arti e Sapori di Nord Ovest.

Throughout the day, visitors will be able to try handcrafted products, where creativity and imagination play a central and distinctive role.

from Saturday 27 April to Saturday 28 December

Every last Saturday of the month from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the Allea fountain there will be a km0 market.

There will be an opportunity to get to know the agricultural producers of Angera and the surrounding areas. By meeting the vendors in person, it will be possible to learn more about their production methods.

Wednesday 1 May

The photo exhibition based on the joint initiative of the Partegora Association and the Circolo e Zona ACLI of Angera will be inaugurated.

This project aims to document and preserve visual evidence of the Angera community's working past.

Inauguration at 11 a.m. in the Council Chamber.

Exhibition hours: 

• Saturdays and public holidays 10-12.30 a.m. / 3-6 p.m. / 9-10 p.m.
•  Thursday 10-12.30 a.m. / 9-10.30 p.m.

Saturday 4 May

An 'ecological walk' will take place, allowing people to take an active part in protecting the environment. The walk will start at 2 p.m. from Via Arena and head towards Via Bruschera.

This initiative, promoted by the City and open to all, is organised by the non-profit Plastic Free Association.
