DAY 2

• day dedicated to the discovery of the Sacro Monte di Varese (UNESCO site since 2003), one of the most beautiful and fascinating places. Thanks to a steep climb, you can walk the 14th chapels to the top and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city. At the top, you can enjoy an excellent lunch and afterwards you can visit the Pogliaghi House Museum.

• guided tour of the Monastery of Santa Caterina, a monastic structure consisting of the merger of three chapels clinging to the sheer rock accessible via a path or an elevator
• after taking the cable car from Laveno, lunch overlooking Lake Maggiore
• in the afternoon guided tour of the Voltorre Cloister, built in two different periods, the Romanesque and the Gothic.
