Here you can admire the wonderful Palazzo Verbania, redeveloped in 2019, designed as Kursaal in 1904 by the architect Giuseppe Petrolo. The renovation has brought to light precious decorations of yesteryear in delicate nuances such as pale pink, pale yellow, bottle green that decorate the ceilings and halls. The absolute wonder is the terrace on the second floor overlooking Maggiore Lake and which, on clear days, allows you to admire not only the coast, but also the mountains that surround it, from Piedmont to Switzerland.
We continue along the new lakefront: here you can admire some buildings in Belle Epoque style such as Palazzo Crivelli Serbelloni with the lovely Church of San Giuseppe, the old tramway station, the pier and the famous Caffè Clerici where we will taste a famous aperitivo.

Lunch at a prestigious restaurant for tasting an excellent menu to savor the specialities of the territory.

But Luino is also a “film set”: we will in fact retrace the places immortalized in the films inspired by the novels of Piero Chiara. The Praetor, for example, presented in recent years in Italian cinemas, was set above all in Luino which, thanks to its spectacular breathtaking panorama, prestigious palaces and style villas such as Villa Hüssy, was the marvelous natural and architectural setting.

Walking along the new lakefront from which you can admire some buildings in the Belle Epoque style. The lakefront shows off all its splendor on a wonderful sunny day in front of the Old Port, the Caffè Clerici and that Albergo Binda that have written the history of cinema. Right here, in fact, an unforgettable Ugo Tognazzi shot the film "Come and get coffee with us" and Johnny Dorelli met Florinda Bolkan in "The Astrakhan coat".
This corner of paradise is the ideal place to enjoy a good ice cream and get lost in the imagination, imagining to see one of the many VIPs of international cinema and music arrive at any moment.
