Villas and Gardens

One of the prevailing colour of the province of Varese is Green of woods, parks and gardens.

Varese in known as "Garden City" thanks to its many public and private italian gardens (giardini all'italiana), built by Italian noble families for their own holidays around lakes.

• Remarkable examples are Villa Menafoglio Litta Panza in Varese and Villa della Porta Bozzolo in Casalzuigno, both properties of FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italia), Villa Cicogna Mozzoni in Bisuschio and Giardini Estensi at Varese city hall, one of the most interesting italian examples, in which you could find English gardens of Villa Mirabello. In Varese, another example is Ville Ponti Congress Centre, next to Villa Panza.

• On the south border of the province there is the Ticino Regional Park, at East the Appiano and Tradate Pineta Park and in the earth Campo dei Fiori Regional Park.

Finally, it is important to say that the brand “Costa Fiorita” (the Lake Maggiore Lombard bank) derives from flowers- and plants production its banks near Angera.
