Day 1 – Varano Borghi warm up ride (Routes: 30km-Total Ascent: 300m)
Our tour kick of easy with a spin around the Lake of Comabbio, which is totally flat on a beautiful cycling path. During the ride we will try the bikes and stop for a nice Espresso!
Once back, we’ll have a relaxing walk in town and enjoy a rich Aperitivo before a beautiful dinner.
Day 2 – Tour of Lakes Comabbio and Monate (Routes: 60km – 80km-Total Ascent: 700m – 1200m)
Today we explore the beautiful region between lago Maggiore and Varese, crossing little villages always with a beautiful view of the lakes. Optioal longer routes available!
Day 3 – Varano Borghi to Ranco (Angera) (Routes: 70km-Total Ascent: 1100m)
An easy ride on the Undulated roads around several small lakes. We will arrive in Varese in time for a great Gelato in the town Center, while walking through the many city gardens.
Day 4 – Tour to Stresa & Isole Borromee (Lago Maggiore) (Routes: 65km – 90km-Total ascent: 750m - 1,400m)
From the east coast to the west, we’ll take a ferry across the Lake and then ride to Stresa, an enchanting town famous for its gardens and flowers. After lunch, we’ll also visit the beautiful Isole Borromee, walking trough a fanstatic botanic Garden and fancy Villas.
Day 5 – Ranco to Varese via Santa Caterina (Routes: 65km-Total Ascent: 900m)
Today we ride from the lake to the town of Varese ,up & donw the hills and around several small lakes offering enchanting views and quite roads. On our way we’ll stop to Visit the Monastery of Santa Caterina del Sasso, literally built into the rockface overlooking Lago Maggiore in the 13th century.
Day 6 – Tour of Campo dei Fiori & Sacromonte (Routes: 80km – 100km-Total Ascent: 700m – 1400m)
This is a beautiful ride around the main mountain of Varese, the Campo dei Fiori. After an initial flat start, the remaining day’s ride is undulating with only one slightly difficult climb at the end. The ascent up to the Campo dei Fiori is challenging but You’ll be enchanted by the view.
The shorter course will take us half way up the mountains to the fascinating village of Sacromonte.
Day 7 – Tour to Lago Ceresio (Routes: 70km – 85km-Total Ascent: 1300m – 1800m)
Our final ride is challenging as we ride up to Monte Sette Termini (seven peaks) north of Varese. After a fantastic descent we’ll ride along the picturesque Lago di Ceresio which is the natural border with Switzerland. The last 30 km are hilly as well, hard work to get back to Varese and celebrate with a good beer!
The longer route has a different final with one extra climb before town.
